Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporated Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system! The class formats combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle toning benefits. Zumba integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and resistance training to maximize caloric output, and cardiovascular benefits, and total body toning. The cardio-based dance movements are easy to follow steps that include body sculpting, which targets areas such as gluts, legs, arms, core, abdominals and the most important muscles in the body, the heart.
Masala Bhangra is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance and the exhilaration of Bollywood moves. This unique dance mixes a cardiovascular workout with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Adult Ballet focuses on excercises at the ballet barre, incorporating basic ballet movement to strengthen and tone the entire body. Set to classical ballet music, this class is fun and inspiring to dancers of all levels. No ballet experience required. Students will need to wear comfortable workout clothing, and leather ballet shoes.
Pilates will be taught in Pilates mat format. This class emphasizes working the core (abs and back), as well as creating long lean muscles in the body, by stretching and strengthening at the same time. Students should wear comfortable workout clothing.
